The short version: BlueDune only collects what it needs to run the service. We never sell your data, never share it with advertisers, and you can delete your account and everything in it at any time.
Who we are
BlueDune is a subscription management service that helps you track, organize, and stay on top of your recurring payments. When this policy says "BlueDune," "we," or "us," it means BlueDune and the team behind it. By using BlueDune, you agree to the practices described here.
What we collect
We collect only what's necessary to provide the service:
- Account information — your email address and password (stored as a secure hash, never in plain text) when you sign up.
- Subscription data — the names, costs, billing cycles, and renewal dates you manually enter into your account.
- Usage data — basic information about how you use the app (pages visited, features used) to help us improve the product. This is never linked to your identity for advertising purposes.
- Device information — browser type, operating system, and IP address for security and fraud prevention.
We do not connect to your bank, read your emails, or access any financial accounts. Everything in BlueDune is entered by you.
How we use your information
We use your information to:
- Operate and maintain your BlueDune account
- Send you renewal reminders and notifications you've opted into
- Respond to support requests you send us
- Detect and prevent fraud or abuse
- Improve the app based on how it's used
- Comply with legal obligations where required
We do not use your data to build advertising profiles, sell to third parties, or train AI models.
How we share your information
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We may share data only in these limited situations:
- Service providers — trusted third-party companies that help us operate BlueDune (for example, cloud hosting, email delivery, and payment processing). These providers can only use your data to perform services for us.
- Legal requirements — if we're required by law, court order, or government authority to disclose information, we will comply and will notify you where legally permitted.
- Business transfer — if BlueDune is acquired or merged with another company, your data may transfer as part of that transaction. We will notify you before that happens and you'll have the option to delete your account.
Data retention
We keep your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete your personal data within 30 days. Some information may be retained longer if required by law (for example, billing records for tax purposes), but that data is isolated from active user data.
Security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data — including encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords, and access controls. No system is 100% secure, but we treat your data with care. If we ever become aware of a breach that affects your data, we will notify you promptly.
Your rights
You have control over your data. You can:
- Access or export your account data at any time from your account settings
- Correct inaccurate information directly in the app
- Delete your account and all associated data
- Opt out of non-essential email communications

BlueDune is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has created an account, please contact us and we'll remove it promptly.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make significant changes, we'll notify you by email or with a notice in the app before the changes take effect. Continued use of BlueDune after changes means you accept the updated policy.
